Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Nostra ("we," "us," or "our") governing the Nostra Android application ("Nostra" or the "App"). By installing, accessing, purchasing a pass through, or using Nostra, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Nostra.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to online services in your country. If you cannot legally enter into these Terms, a parent or guardian must review and agree to them for you. Do not use Nostra where prohibited by law.

2. What Nostra provides

Nostra is a general-purpose web browser that can detect and download certain video files made available by third-party websites. Depending on the source and format, Nostra may offer full-file downloads, HLS processing, MP4 clipping, time-range selection, progress, and local history.

Nostra does not host, publish, license, sell, or grant rights to third-party videos. Availability, compatibility, quality, and success depend on the source, network, device, format, and access controls. We do not promise that Nostra will detect or download every video.

3. Limited license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Nostra on devices you own or control for lawful purposes. You may not copy, sell, rent, redistribute, reverse engineer, modify, defeat security controls in, or create derivative works from Nostra except where law expressly permits.

4. Copyright and authorized downloads

Download content only when you have the owner's permission or another lawful right. Nostra does not grant permission to download, copy, modify, distribute, publish, sell, or otherwise use third-party content.

You are responsible for deciding whether a download and your later use of a file are lawful and permitted by the website's terms. Authorized examples may include your own content, public-domain content, validly licensed media, or content the owner expressly allows you to save.

You must not use Nostra to:

infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
download content without permission or another lawful basis;
bypass DRM, encryption, authentication, paywalls, subscription controls, geographic restrictions, or technical access controls;
gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, streams, or files;
distribute malware or unlawful, harmful, or abusive material;
interfere with websites, networks, advertising systems, or other users; or
make automated or excessive requests that violate law or website terms.

5. YouTube and Netflix

Nostra does not support downloading from YouTube or Netflix. The App blocks download detection and requests when the relevant page, media, referrer, or known service domain belongs to YouTube or Netflix. Browsing access, if available, does not grant permission to download their content. You must not evade these restrictions.

6. Third-party websites

Nostra displays and communicates with third-party websites. We do not control or endorse their content, ads, availability, security, or privacy practices. Their terms and policies apply. Websites may change technology or block access at any time. A media link may expire, require authorization, return unexpected content, or stop working. Do not open a downloaded file unless you trust its source.

7. Free plan and rewarded ads

The free plan may require you to choose and complete a rewarded ad before an eligible download starts. Closing, skipping, or failing to complete it may prevent the download. Viewing an ad does not guarantee source availability or download success. Google Mobile Ads and its partners supply advertisements; third-party ad content and destinations are not controlled by us.

8. Month Pass and Year Pass

Nostra may offer passes through Google Play that remove Nostra's rewarded-ad requirement during the stated period. A pass does not guarantee detection, source availability, speed, successful downloads, or permission to use content.

The price, currency, duration, taxes, renewal type, and offer shown by Google Play control over conflicting marketing text.
Unless Google Play expressly identifies a plan as auto-renewing, Nostra passes are intended as prepaid access that expires after the purchased period.
If an auto-renewing plan is offered later, Google Play will display renewal terms before purchase and provide management or cancellation controls.
Purchases are linked to the Google account used for payment and may be restored when Google Play reports an active entitlement.
Payments, cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes are administered by Google Play subject to its rules and consumer law.

9. Downloads, storage, and data usage

You are responsible for network charges, data usage, storage, battery consumption, and backups. Long videos and HLS streams may require substantial bandwidth, temporary storage, and processing time. Review selected ranges, file names, destinations, and resulting files. Cancelling or deleting may remove a partial or completed file. Uninstalling Nostra may not remove files already saved in Downloads.

10. Changes, availability, and updates

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, compatibility, advertising, passes, or formats. We may block additional sources or functionality for security, legal compliance, third-party requirements, or protection of rights. Updates may be required. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using and uninstall Nostra at any time. We may restrict functionality where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, abuse, security risks, violations, third-party requirements, or legal obligations. Provisions that should survive termination—including ownership, authorized-use obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—continue to apply.

12. Intellectual property

Nostra's name, logo, software, interface, graphics, and original documentation are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable law. Third-party names, websites, videos, and trademarks belong to their owners. Reference to a third party does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nostra is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security. We do not warrant detection, successful downloads, complete or playable files, audio/video synchronization, website compatibility, or prevention of every unlawful use. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, content, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity; device or file damage; third-party claims; or unauthorized or unlawful use of downloaded content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to Nostra will not exceed the amount you paid for Nostra passes during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.

15. Responsibility for claims

Where permitted, you are responsible for losses and third-party claims resulting from unlawful downloads, distribution or use of content, intentional misuse, or material violation of these Terms. This does not require a consumer to indemnify us where prohibited by law.

16. Disputes

Before filing a formal claim, contact nostra.downloader@gmail.com with a brief description so we can try to resolve it informally. Mandatory laws and consumer rights where you live may apply. Nothing here limits rights, remedies, or access to courts that cannot lawfully be waived.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for changes to Nostra, law, third-party requirements, or our business. We will publish the update here and revise the date. Where required, we will give additional notice. Continued use after the update takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

18. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary; the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without consent. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the Nostra business, subject to law.
